Is counselling for me?

People seek counselling for many different reasons and most people find it a beneficial and rewarding experience that can help bring about positive change. We all lead complicated lives and sometimes our thoughts and feelings can become overwhelming or life events can affect us in ways we never imagined. Sometimes we feel lonely, empty or unable to cope even though on the surface we have everything that should make us happy. If something is troubling you or you have reached the stage where you feel unable to move forward with your life then talking with a counsellor can help you get back in touch with your feelings and can bring clarity where there is confusion.

Making the decision to see a counsellor can be daunting and our counsellors understand that it takes courage to ask for help and open up about feelings. Our counsellors will not direct or advise you. They won’t tell you what to do. Instead they will provide you with a safe, confidential space where you can be yourself without fear of judgement. Our counsellors want to listen to you and want to understand what you are going through. They aim to work alongside you in equal partnership as you journey to make sense of your thoughts and feelings.

Our doors are open to everyone in need of help, especially young people between 12 and 25. Our counsellors support clients with a wide range of issues, situations or life-changing events including:
